When is Bridgerton season 3 coming out on Netflix?
Bridgerton fans got a special surprise in December 2023! Netflix announced the release date for season 3, and it’s not what everyone expected. Season 3 will be split into two parts, each with 4 episodes.
Part 1, with episodes 1 to 4, will be available to stream on May 16, 2024. Part 2, with episodes 5 to 8, will follow shortly after on June 13, 2024.
The announcement came in a special video message narrated by Lady Whistledown herself. She revealed the release date with her usual flair, leaving fans excited for what’s to come.
Filming for season 3 began in London during the summer of 2022. The official Bridgerton Instagram account shared a fun video to mark the occasion. It featured the cast returning to the set and getting ready to film. In the video, Jonathan Bailey (who plays Anthony) starts things off by using his hand to turn a “2” into a “3,” hinting at the new season. Other cast members join in, and the video ends with Luke Newton (Colin) and Nicola Coughlan (Penelope) jumping into a carriage together. This little scene excited fans about the possibility of a romance between their characters (#Polin).
Bridgerton Season 3 Trailer
Netflix released the official trailer for Part 1 of Bridgerton season 3 on April 11, 2024, and, as expected, #Polin takes center stage. The trailer, which you can watch above, begins with a little message from our beloved and now-unmasked narrator, Lady Whistledown: “Dearest gentle reader, we have been apart for far too long,” she says as various clips of the Bridgertons (including some of Kanthony getting steamy) flash on our screen. “At last, London’s fashionable set has made its return and it seems that our bon ton is moving with the changing tides, so too is this author.”
In the next frame, we see Penelope Featherington, who proclaims: “I cannot live at home any longer; I must take a husband.” In the next few clips, Colin Bridgerton jumps in. “If a husband is what you seek, let me help you. Are we not friends?” and, well, though he claims he’s “only helping her find a husband” and not offering himself, the chemistry says otherwise as he starts to question if “the best foundation for love is friendship.”
The trailer teases some friends-to-lovers and slow-burn jealously goodness but that’s not all. Before the trailer dropped we had gotten a handful of sneak peek videos teasing arcs from the upcoming season. On February 2, 2024, Netflix released an exclusive first look at footage from the third season (see below), where the intense yearning radiating between Penelope and Colin during a “suitor practice session” is almost too much to handle.

“In this season of Bridgerton, I reprise my role as Penelope Featherington. The major difference is that in the first two seasons, Pen was a supporting character, the oddball in the corner, but this time she’s very much centre-stage,” she explained. “The only issue with this is that ‘oddball in the corner’ is actually a niche I do very well. I’m comfortable there! Strange girl no one pays attention to? Where do I sign up?”
