The Fantastic Four has had its share of cinematic ups and downs. The 2005 and 2007 versions, led by Chris Evans and Jessica Alba, were box office hits but received mixed reviews. The ill-fated 2015 adaptation with Michael B. Jordan and Miles Teller disappointed fans.

Now, under the direction of Matt Shakman (known for his work on “WandaVision,” “Succession,” and “The Great”), Marvel aims to capture the essence of these beloved characters. The film’s premise remains true to the comics: a quartet of astronauts gains extraordinary abilities after a space mission gone awry.
