Bradley Cooper is seriously considering giving his relationship with Gigi Hadid a “hard launch” at Sunday’s Oscars, though fans likely won’t see the couple on the red carpet.
The actor, 49, is up for his 12th Oscar nomination for Maestro at this year’s Awards show. While he surprised by letting his daughter Lea make her red carpet debut at the film’s December premiere, he is potentially considering alternative guests at the show.
While he is expected to still bring his mother, Gloria Campano, as his date, which he has done every time he’s been nominated, many have wondered if he and Hadid, 28, who sparked romance rumors in October, would go red carpet official.
She is not expected to attend the show, which might make his ex Irina Shayk happy, but she could surface at the night’s other big event – the Vanity Fair party.
“It’s definitely getting more serious, they are totally into each other,” a source said of the relationship.
As for the after party, they are also not likely to go red carpet official there either but will meet up with one another afterward to mingle and celebrate.
“I don’t know if they will walk the Vanity Fair carpet together, but they will join up inside,” the source said.
This year marks his fourth lead actor nomination after receiving nods for Silver Linings Playbook, American Sniper, and A Star is Born. He also received a Supporting Actor nomination for American Hustle.
He has also had nominations for the A Star is Born and Maestro screenplays, as well as five Best Picture noms for those titles, as well as American Sniper, Joker, and Nightmare Alley.
In Maestro, which has seven nominations total, he portrays musical legend Leonard Bernstein in a film that chronicles the love story between him and his wife, Felicia Montealegre Bernstein.
Cooper is up against Colman Domingo in Rustin, Paul Giamatti in The Holdovers, Cillian Murphy in Oppenheimer, and Jeffrey Wright in American Fiction for the Lead Actor award.
